BUSY MONDAY FOR ATLANTIC CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT

It was a busy Monday for the Atlantic City fire department.  Firefighters were called to two major fires on Monday afternoon, including a structure fire at an apartment complex and a dumpster fire near another apartment building.  The Red Cross has been called in to assist displaced families; there were no injuries.

DONE DEAL: ATLANTIC CITY ELECTRIC TO RAISE YOUR RATES

Your electricity bill is going up.  The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities has approved a four percent rate hike increase for Atlantic City Electric so the utility can pay for various infrastructure improvements throughout southern New Jersey.  The average bill will see a five dollar per month increase.
