Avalon is ready to add its 12th storm water pump station in the community this year. A contract has been awarded to a contractor to install the pump station at 78th Street and Ocean Drive. Avalon is receiving nearly $700,000 from the County to help with the project since Ocean Drive is a county road.

Atlantic City Police have charged four men from Pennsylvania after a man was struck by a pellet from a BB gun on Arkansas Avenue. City police say they recovered a real handgun from the four men during the arrest. The gun was determined to be a ghost gun.
A former superintendent of Public Works in Cape May, Joseph Picard, has passed away at the age of 69. Picard passed away at his home on Saturday. A celebration of his life will be held next Wednesday in Cape May.
The search for a missing swimmer off the beaches of Wildwood is now a recovery operation. Authorities did not find the swimmer last evening who went missing off the beach at Andrews Avenue. The man was a group of four; one made it in on his own, while two others were rescued by personnel.
