Cape May County will test out the Code Red emergency alert system on June 2nd. County officials announced today that the alert will be sent out countywide between the hours of 10am and 12 Noon on that date. The County has more than 140,000 contacts enrolled in the system.

A 63 year old woman lost her life in a pedestrian-motor vehicle accident in Cape May Sunday afternoon. City police say an erratic driver who crossed the Route 109 bridge came into the city and struck the woman before hitting a utility pole. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
