The weekend storm is leaving this area, but tidal flooding concerns persist. There is a chance for minor tidal flooding during the next two tide cycles at the shore. Wind gusts during the storm peaked at 67 mph in southern New Jersey.
Two people were rescued from a sailboat in northern Atlantic County after the boat ran aground Friday night. The United States Coast Guard reports both were on board the “Free Bird” sailboat which grounded in shoals. A helicopter came to lift both individuals off the boat.
