CAMDEN DIOCESE SPENDS $87.5 MILLION TO SETTLE SEX ABUSE CLAIMS

The Camden Diocese spent a whopping $87.5 million to settle hundreds of sexual abuse claims.  The Diocese has tremendous debt and filed Chapter 11 reorganization of the debt that it owes.  The Diocese settled with over 300 victims of the abuse.

Authorities in Egg Harbor Township had to relocate several individuals from motel rooms on the Black Horse Pike Monday night due to heavy rainwater that began to flood the rooms.  NJ.com reports police and fire crews rescued seven individuals from the rooms.  The roadway in front of the motels was closed due to street flooding…

ATLANTIC CITY MAN FIRES GUN TOWARDS HIS MOTHER, TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

Atlantic City Police have arrested 31 year old Kevin Robinson on charges that he fired a gun towards his mother last month.  Robinson was arrested three days ago with a loaded handgun in his possession.  Robinson has been charged with aggravated assault and other offenses.

NO MASKS NEEDED ON NEW JERSEY TRANSIT BUSES, TRAINS

The mask mandate is over for New Jersey Transit trains and buses.  Governor Murphy took to social media to eliminate the mandatory mask requirement now that a court dismissed a Biden Administration initiative that required masks on mass transportation.

DOUBLES 6’S: JERSEY CAPE SAW 66MPH WINDS LAST NIGHT

Winds exceeded 60mph last night during the coastal storm that caused some beach erosion and street flooding.  The National Weather Service reports wind gusts topping out at 66mph during the storm Monday night.  Accu Weather calls for no chance of rain this week, into the weekend.

REPORT: STATE SUSPENDS LIQUOR LICENSE OF ABSECON BAR

The Hi Point Pub in Absecon has lost its liquor license.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that the State suspended the liquor license indefinitely.  A hearing was held on the license on April 12th.  Several incidents led to the suspension.
