The practice of abandoning boats in local waterways is a big issue, and one that local taxpayers cannot afford. Senator Mike Testa has introduced a bill in Trenton that would require the state to fund a program to remove boats that are a navigational hazard. Often times boats are left in waterways unwanted.
New Jersey is providing the state’s seafood processing industry with over $800,000 to deal with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. An assistance program has been established in order to provide funding for reimbursable expenses as the industry recovers from the significant impacts from the pandemic.
