The public health emergency comes to an end in the Garden State Monday. Governor Phil Murphy announced that the emergency is over. The emergency began in March, 2020 as the Covid-19 pandemic landed in New Jersey. Murphy held his final Covid briefing on Friday.
Dig deep for gas in the Garden State. Some New Jersey gas stations are now charging well in excess of four dollars per gallon for gasoline. One gasoline station in the northern part of the state was a penny shy of five dollars per gallon as of Friday morning.
The Rio Grande Fire Company didn’t have to travel far to extinguish a small brush fire late Thursday afternoon. Firefighters responded to a brush fire behind the firehouse in a field.
