Two corrections officers at South Woods State Prison in Cumberland County are facing indictments in connection with an alleged assault of an inmate nearly a year ago. NJ.com reports that 30 year old Ivan Rivera allegedly put his knee on the neck of the inmate, and officer Jared Smith provided false accounts of the incident.
21 year old Miguel Perez of Bridgeton has confessed to the killing of a Cumberland County man. Perez is charged with first degree murder in connection with the killing of Jonathan Morris II. Perez disposed of the body in Hopewell Township.
52 year old Reginald Pitts of Wildwood has been hit with multiple drug charges following a traffic stop conducted Monday afternoon by Wildwood Police.
