CAPE MAY POLICE DEPARTMENT PROMOTES BOBIK, MAZZA

There are some new promotions in the Cape May Police Department.  The Department announced that John Bobik is the new Captain, and Kris Mazza is a Lieutenant.  They were promoted on Friday.  Sergeant Derrik Murphy will also be promoted and sworn in this month. FOUR CHARGED FOR STEALING HIGH-END GPS SYSTEMS FROM LOCAL BOATS

COUNTY CHAMBER CUTS RIBBON ON RENOVATED BUILDING

The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting event on its renovated building.  County commissioners and other lawmakers joined business leaders in the County for the ceremony. The building has been undergoing renovation work since the spring.  A major capital campaign was also launched.

CAPE MAY COUNTY NEARS 600 CASES OF CORONAVIRUS

594 residential cases of coronavirus exist in Cape May County as of Saturday.  New figures from the Cape May County Department of Health added 53 new cases of the virus over the past 24 hours.  15 of those cases are in Lower Township, where the overall case load is now at 153.

POLITICIZATION OF CORONAVIRUS CONTINUES IN TRENTON

The politicization of coronavirus continues in Trenton.  Republicans attempted to overthrow the Covid-19 rules for entering the Statehouse, but they were unsuccessful.  Lawmakers will either have to show proof of vaccination or a negative test to get into the building on Monday.
