County officials have announced the continuation of an agreement with Cape Regional Home Health Care LLC to provide services for County residents. The new agreement will run for an additional five year term. Nurses, therapists, social workers, and dietary guidance is all part of the program.
There will be a road closure in Woodbine starting next week. DeHirsch Avenue will be closed to through traffic for two weeks as the County reconstructs the roadway from Washington Avenue to Madison Avenue. Business access will be maintained at all times.
County officials have announced a partial closure of Bayshore Road for Monday. There will be a drainage crossing replacement north of Breakwater Road which will require a partial closure of the roadway. Additional work is scheduled next week that will also create a detour.
The unpredictable weather pattern in December continues this weekend. The National Weather Service is forecasting highs near 70 degrees on the mainland Saturday before a cold front pushes through sparking thunderstorms and strong winds. A Wind Advisory has been issued for our region starting early Saturday afternoon; wind gusts could approach 45mph.
A 22 year old man lost his life during a one vehicle accident on Route 55 Wednesday morning. State Police say Zachary Hansen of Commercial Township lost control of his vehicle in Franklin Township and struck a guardrail. Hansen was ejected from his car during the accident.
