REPORT: SWEENEY TO DECLARE DEFEAT TODAY, SENATE TO PICK PRESIDENT FRIDAY

Senate President Steve Sweeney reportedly will concede the election in his Senate district today.  New Jersey Globe reports that Sweeney will no longer contest a narrow election day loss eight days ago to an unknown republican.  The Senate will pick a new president, likely to be Nick Scutari.

CAPE MAY POLICE ATTEMPTING TO FIND UMBRELLA THIEF

Cape May City Police are attempting to identify an individual who allegedly stole an umbrella from Zoe’s Cape Cafe over the weekend.  Police say the theft occurred shortly after 1am on Sunday.  A photo of the crime has been released.

NEW JERSEY TAKES NEXT STEP TOWARDS MAKING POT AVAILABLE

New Jersey is taking steps to help marijuana cultivation and dispensaries open in the Garden State.  NJ.com reports that the Cannabis Regulatory Commission will start taking applications in December from individuals who want to start opening marijuana businesses.  First up will be to growers; then in March, from potential dispensaries.
