Chris Bezaire has had enough, and has resigned from the Cape May City Council. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Bezaire resigned on Monday, and submitted his letter of resignation to the municipal clerk. The resignation is effective immediately.
A 36 year old woman from Mays Landing lost her life over the weekend during a motorcycle accident in Atlantic City. Police say Naisha Peterson was killed in the accident Friday night after she was thrown from the bike on North Delaware Avenue. Peterson was a passenger on the bike; the drive required hospitalization.
Over 200,000 people decided to vote early in New Jersey. Ballots have been cast in person by voters early this year, before the polls open on Tuesday. That number represents just over three percent of the total people eligible to vote tomorrow.
Cape May County has only 224 active resident cases of coronavirus. New figures released by the County show 11 of the County’s 16 municipalities having zero, or single digit, numbers of the virus in their communities. Lower Township continues to have the highest case total at 61.
