TRANSMISSION OF COVID-19 SLOWS IN GARDEN STATE

The news regarding the spread of coroanvirus in the Garden State is positive.  The transmission rate in New Jersey is now 0.87 percent, which means the progression of the virus is slowing.  23 new confirmed deaths were reported Thursday.

GOVERNOR MURKY: CIATTARELLI CLOSES GAP ON MURPHY IN NEW JERSEY

Governor Murphy, it’s time to sweat.  The latest pre-election poll shows republican Jack Ciattarelli significantly closing the gap in the gubernatorial race.  The latest Emerson College/PIX11 survey shows Murphy’s lead now at just six percentage points.  Seven percent of voters remain undecided.

LOWER TOWNSHIP POLICE ISSUE ADVISORY REGARDING COOMBS DOUGLASS RUN

Lower Township Police have issued a traffic advisory regarding the Coombs Douglass Run that will take place a week from Saturday, October 30th.  Residents who live in the Villas, Town Bank, and North Cape May could be impacted next Saturday morning with no parking signs and traffic issues.

LARGEST NEWSPAPER ENDORSEMENT PICKS MURPHY, CALLS HIM “MEDIOCRE”

The state’s largest newspaper has endorsed democrat Phil Murphy for governor, despite calling him “mediocre”.  The Newark Star Ledger backed Murphy for governor, reluctantly.  The paper cites major issues it has with republican challenger Jack Cittarelli, who is drawing closer to Murphy in pre-election polls.

REPORT: CAPE MAY TO CONSIDER BANNING OUTDOOR POOL RENTALS

Cape May could soon consider a new ordinance that would prohibit the rental of backyard swimming pools.  The Cape May Star and Wave reports that Councilwoman Lorraine Baldwin noted there are websites where people can rent out their outdoor swimming pools for profit.  Baldwin brought up various issues including noise, health, and current regulations.
