One of the most anticipated high school football games in the local season will not be played Friday, and has been moved because of coronavirus concerns. The game between Holy Spirit and St. Augustine has been moved to October 29th. The game was to be played this week.
Schools will now be required to report all staff and student cases of coronavirus to the State. Governor Murphy announced Wednesday the new directive in place. 62 schools have reported in-school transmission of the virus.
The two candidates for Lieutenant Governor in New Jersey held their only debate last night. Democrat Shelia Oliver and republican Diane Allen traded shots over how women are treated in the Phil Murphy administration, and discussed driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants. The event was streamed online.
Harbor Freight Tools is coming to Rio Grande this year. NJ.com reports that the discount tool retailer will open at 3174 Route 9 South in December. The company plans to open 31 new stores by the end of the year.
