One of the eastbound lanes of Route 30 in Atlantic City will be closed Wednesday morning for a police investigation. Police in Atlantic City say there will be heavy delays for several hours on that roadway, starting around 9:00am. Motorists are advised to use the Atlantic City Expressway to enter Atlantic City.
Harry’s Oyster Bar in Atlantic City is closing for good by the end of the month. New Jersey has reported another 22 deaths from coronavirus. New figures released late on Tuesday show over 1,700 new cases of the virus in the Garden State. More than 5.7 million residents have been vaccinated.
A federal judge has decided that New Jersey’s mask mandate for school students is legal and will stay in place. Opponents said the mask mandate was unnecessary. Federal Judge Kevin McNulty ruled in favor of the State.
Councilman Keith Hartzell will run for the mayor’s spot in Ocean City next spring. Hartzell announced that he will formally challenge Mayor Jay Gillian for the city’s top elected position. Hartzell says there are several big issues in the city including flooding and a new public safety building that could cost over $40 million.
