Gasoline prices went up by three cents per gallon in one week in Cape May County. The average price for a gallon of gas locally iw now $.308, which is two cents above the state average. Last year, gasoline prices were $1.02 per gallon cheaper.
Three people were rescued from rough surf conditions in Wildwood Thursday. Response teams went to Andrews Avenue where good samaritans helped pull three girls from the water. One was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center after the ocean rescue.
One person was killed during a two vehicle accident on Route 49 in Cumberland County. The accident took place Monday night in Fairfield Township. The driver of the vehicle headed westbound lost control of the car and hit the other vehicle. The car burst into flames, and the driver who caused the accident was killed.
The remains of a man were found in a wooded area of Galloway Township this week. Atlantic County officials say the body was found near South Pomona Road Monday morning. There’s no word yet if the body was a result of criminal activity.
