Cape May County added only 23 new coronavirus cases on Sunday. The latest report puts nearly half of the new cases in Lower and Middle townships. There are only 328 active residential cases countywide.
The municipal tax rate in Cape May is expected to climb by a penny this year. The Cape May Star and Wave reports that the new budget in Cape May totals $32.1 million. The tax rate proposed would result in a 2.48 percent increase in taxes, according to the report.

A 34 year old police officer who works in Jersey City was arrested on charges that he travelled to Atlantic City to have sex with two underage girls. Stephen Wilson of Bayonne was charged on Friday with three separate crimes. Wilson remains lodged in the Atlantic County Jail pending his detention hearing.
