Cape May County has added 40 new cases of coronavirus Monday, two of them being in long term care facilities. The overall active total in the community in the County has dropped below 500 as some people move off quarantine. 12 new cases were reported in Lower Township, which currently has 135 active cases.
Starting Tuesday, the Lower Cape May Regional School District will switch to an all-virtual platform. The school district made the announcement on its website Monday. The District intends to stay all-virtual until December 15th, at least. Lower Township has consistently led the County with municipal Covid-19 cases.

The Woodbine Elementary School has switched to all-remote learning. The school district made the announcement on its social media page over the weekend, and all students were required to log in and be ready to be taught virtually by 8am Monday.
Wildwood’s Glenwood Avenue School and Early Childhood Annex have both switched to 100 percent remote learning as of today. School Superintendent J. Kenyon Cummings notes in a letter to parents that both schools will be closed to in-person learning through December 10th. In-person learning has been suspended.
