Cape May County is under both a Wind Advisory, and a Coastal Flood Advisory for Monday. Accu Weather says winds could gust up to 45mph during a wet, windy day on Monday. There could be some minor tidal flooding during Monday morning’s high tide event, up to one foot of inundation.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy says a complete state shutdown remains on the table, but he’s certainly hoping it will be avoided. Murphy appeared on Fox News Sunday and stated that a state shutdown would be a last resort. He does say the state faces huge challenges over the next 90 days.
New Jersey added over 3,800 new cases of coronavirus on Sunday. State health officials also reported 13 new deaths from the virus. This is the second day in a row where the number of new cases were under 4,000.
Cape May County added one new death from coronavirus on Saturday. A 61 year old male from Middle Township lost his life. 58 new cases were reported on Saturday, and all of the County’s 17 non-resident cases are from Cape May. Every community in the County has at least one case of the virus.
