REPORT: SENATE PRESIDENT SAYS YOU SHOULD GET A PASS FOR SMALL AMOUNT OF POT

New Jersey Senate President Steve Sweeney says no one should be arrested in New Jersey for having minimal amounts of marijuana in their possession.  NJ.com reports that Sweeney does not believe arrests should occur now that state residents have overwhelmingly voted in favor of legalizing recreational marijuana.

WILDWOOD TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT MAXWELL FIELD

28 NEW RESIDENT CASES OF COVID-19, TWO LONG TERM CASES FOR CAPE

There are 30 new cases of coronavirus for Cape May County.  County officials announced Monday that 28 of the 30 cases were in the community, while only two were long term care cases.  Communities with five new cases apiece include Lower and Upper townships, along with North Wildwood and Ocean City.

2.4 MILLION FACE MASKS WILL BE SENT TO SCHOOLS IN NEW JERSEY

Nearly two and a half million face masks will be delivered to schools throughout New Jersey.  Governor Murphy says the masks are coming from the feds and will be made available to both students and staff around the state.  Masks will be prioritized to low income areas first.

ALL INTERSTATE INDOOR YOUTH SPORTS, INCLUDING HIGH SCHOOL, BANNED ON THURSDAY

There will be no interstate youth sports featuring New Jersey kids starting Thursday.  Governor Murphy announced Monday that the interstate ban goes into effect on Thursday, and will include high school sports.  Murphy says it’s another way to slow the spread of coronavirus.

AGAIN, OVER 2,000 NEW CASES OF CORONAVIRUS IN NEW JERSEY

There have been over 7,000 new cases of coronavirus in New Jersey since Saturday.  State officials announced over 2,000 new cases on Monday and 11 new deaths.  There are more than 1,500 hospitalizations in the Garden State.

MURPHY TO ANNOUNCE RESTAURANTS AND BARS CLOSE INDOORS BY 10PM

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy will announce later today that bars and restaurants will have to close indoor service by 10:00pm.  That new restriction is expected to occur later this week.  All interstate youth sports to be held indoors will also be cancelled as well, according to various reports.  Murphy addresses the virus later today.
