National Night Out is a no go this year in Wildwood. Police announced on their social media page Tuesday that this year’s event is being cancelled due to safety concerns associated with the pandemic. Many other police departments locally have made the same decision.
New Jersey has added seven new deaths from coronavirus. New figures released by the State Tuesday show 457 new positive cases. The state has had over 200,000 cases of the virus during the pandemic.
There is a budget deal in Trenton. Democrats have agreed to borrow $4.5 billion, which is higher than what Governor Murphy proposed during his budget address. Sales tax hikes on cigarettes, firearms, boats, and limo services have been eliminated. Hearings on the new budget will be held today.
