REPORT: SCHOOL DISTRICT CANCELS SUMMER SPORTS AFTER SEA ISLE PARTY

Summertime sports practices in the Penns Grove School District have been cancelled after one student-athlete contracted coronavirus as a result of a house party in Sea Isle City.  NJ.com reports that the teenager is now involved in a mandatory 14-day quarantine.  Sports practices will resume next month.

Cape May County’s daily coronavirus report was largely positive Wednesday.  New figures place five new resident cases of the virus, all of them on mainland communities.  Seven communities have either zero or one resident case of coronavirus.  No new deaths were reported.
