The Cape May City council is holding a special meeting Tuesday afternoon to discuss lawsuits, and positions in government. Council is expected to meet in closed session to discuss filling the positions of city manager and court administrator, and to discuss litigation, including one involving the Sewell Tract. The meeting begins Tuesday at 2:00pm.
Cape May County remains the only county in New Jersey not under some sort of a winter weather alert. A soaking rainstorm is likely at the Cape on Sunday, while areas to our north and west will be seeing some snow out of this storm system. Snow is likely in our area Monday night.

Four people were arrested in connection with a gunpoint robbery in Lower Township. Township police say a man who was going to conduct a drug transaction was robbed by the individuals. Police in Hamilton Township are reporting a spike in car burglaries. Police say there have been more reports of burglaries, and they are all easily preventable by locking doors, parking in well lit areas, and not leaving valuables in plain view.
He wasn’t missing after all. The United States Coast Guard reports that a kite surfer who was missing during the holiday weekend contacted the Coast Guard and says he’s fine. The surfer said his kite malfunctioned, so it cut it loose, and paddled ashore to return home.
