Cape May’s Beach Safety Committee is expected to review a report by a local engineering firm on the evaluation of surf zone conditions in the city. Mott MacDonald conducted a feasibility study to examine the potential of altering the beach slope to change plunging waves that can cause injury.
Stone Harbor officials announced that they had to send out corrected water and sewer bills this month. A computer system caused an error in the billing, and a revised billing was mailed out on November 13th. Residents can go to the Borough website to get information to find out exactly what they owe.
Absecon Police made two arrests after they spotted a stolen vehicle Saturday morning traveling on Route 30. Police say 28 year old Damonyea Mallory Sr. of Atlantic City and 20 year old Pamara Dudley of Mays Landing were charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a gun, and possession of hallow point bullets.
Cape May will charge $30 for a seasonal beach tag next summer. Council met last week and also approved a new $50 commercial beach tag for businesses who want to have one tag exchanged between their guests for the summer season.

The hotel occupancy rate in Atlantic City has topped 90 percent for the third quarter of 2019. This is a 2.6 percent increase from the same time period last year. The occupancy rate for the entire year is slightly over 80 percent.
Atlantic City may be getting $20 million in Hurricane Sandy emergency funds to repair facilities that were damaged more than seven years ago. The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs is considering spending the money to fix bulkheads, and flood proofing City Hall. A public hearing on the proposal will be held Tuesday.

A peach march will be held Saturday at 12 Noon in Pleasantville. Officials say the march will begin at Woodland Avenue Park and will end at the football field. Eight days ago, shots were fired at a high school football game that resulted in the death of a ten year old boy.
