FORMER MILLVILLE COP PLEADS GUILTY TO FELONY CHARGES

AVALON GETS ENGINEERING AWARD FOR SURFSIDE PARK

Avalon received a prestigious honor relating to its new Surfside Park on Wednesday.  Mott MacDonald, the engineer for Avalon, won an award at the New Jersey League of Municipalities convention in Atlantic City on Wednesday.  The Park was supported by a $2 million grant from the Cape May County Open Space Program.

SEWER RATES MAY BE GOING UP IN MIDDLE TOWNSHIP

For the first time in seven years, sewer rates may be going up in Middle Township.  The Township Committee met Monday night and introduced an ordinance that would increase rates by about $80 per year.  Officials defended the move, saying it is necessary to keep up with increasing costs.
