CAPE MAY TO CONSIDER BOND FOR FRANKLIN STREET SCHOOL

A final vote could come Monday on a $2 million bond ordinance in Cape May that would finance the conversion of the Franklin Street School into a branch of the County library.  The County will also be putting money into the project.  Council meets Monday at 6:00pm.

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP TO HOLD ACCELERATED TAX SALE NEXT MONTH

Middle Township will be holding an accelerated tax sale on December 18th.  Township officials say all taxes must have been paid in full by November 12th by property owners to avoid being part of the sale.  Owners have the opportunity to make themselves current up until the day before the tax sale.

GASOLINE PRICES DROP IN CAPE MAY COUNTY BEFORE THANKSGIVING

Gasoline prices in Cape May County continue to drop in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday.  The latest gas price survey puts the price of a gallon of gasoline locally at $2.57, which is a penny south of the state average.  Only Burlington County has lower gas prices in southern New Jersey.

COPS JUSTIFIED IN USING DEADLY FORCE IN VINELAND SHOOTING

A state grand jury returned a no bill in connection with the deadly shooting of 19 year old Jacob Servais by law enforcement in Vineland last year.  The shooting occurred at a car rental office in the city last October after Servais and a woman were suspects in a home invasion and attempted murder.

OCEAN CITY APPROVES $6 MILLION BOND FOR BEACH WORK
