NEW TRAFFIC LIGHT ON AVALON BOULEVARD TO BE EFFECTIVE TUESDAY

A traffic control device will be installed on Avalon Boulevard Tuesday to control traffic over Ingrams Thorofare Bridge.  The contractor announced that the new light will be operational during the entire offseason as the County makes substantial improvements to the bridge which currently has a deck that is in serious disrepair.

LOWER TOWNSHIP POLICE ANNOUNCE MAJOR INTERSECTION CLOSED

Lower Township Police have announced that the intersection of Amhurst Road and Roseann Avenue remains substantially closed through the end of next week.  Police say ongoing construction is to blame.  The 100 block of Roseann Avenue is no longer accessible from Bayshore Road.

The Ocean City Red Raiders girls soccer team is the South Jersey Group III champions.  Ocean City blasted Mainland, 6-0, to win the title Thursday at Carey Stadium.  Ocean City will battle Hopewell Valley Central Tuesday in a state semifinal game.

REPORT: COULD COST $1 MILLION TO CLEAN MOLD IN LONGPORT HALL

It could cost $1 million for mold remediation inside Borough Hall in Longport.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that elected officials received a progress report on the effort.  The mold was found during the summer and was likely created by the age of the building and Hurricane Sandy.
