AC BLACKJACKS MAY BE ONE AND DONE AS AFL SUSPENDS OPERATIONS

The individual teams that comprise the Arena Football League have suspended their operations putting the future of the entire league in doubt.  The League includes both the Atlantic City Blackjacks and the Philadelphia Soul.  New investors are being sought to keep the League afloat.

MOTOR VEHICLE COMMISSION TO TAKE ELECTION DAY OFF NEXT WEEK

The Motor Vehicle Commission will be closed next Tuesday.  Tuesday is election day, and it’s a day when the MVC says it will not conduct operations due to a mandated day off for employees.  Agencies and inspections stations will all be closed.

REPORT: OLD PROPERTIES TO BE DEMOLISHED IN ATLANTIC CITY

Some old properties will be demolished in Atlantic City.  The Press of Atlantic City reports that the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority is putting another $1 million into the demolition of dilapidated properties in the gaming resort.  To date, CRDA has invested more than $6 million in building demolitions.

ONE SHOT DEAD IN ATLANTIC CITY MONDAY NIGHT

One person was shot to death in Atlantic City Monday evening.  Police say it happened near Ohio and Hummock avenues before 8pm.  Police have not released the victim’s name, and a suspect is not in custody at this time.
