COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT RECEIVES MAJOR GRANT FOR EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

The Cape May County Department of Health has received a grant in excess of a quarter million dollars to help better plan for, and respond to, public health emergencies.  The grant funding runs through next year and will help the Department of Health respond to catastrophic events including hurricanes, terrorism, and other emergent events.

GASOLINE PRICES IN CAPE MAY COUNTY CONTINUE TO DROP POST-SUMMER

Gasoline prices continue to drop in Cape May County after the summer season.  The average price for a gallon of gasoline has dropped to $2.61 a gallon in our area; that’s five cents a gallon lower than a week ago.  We remain four cents above the state average.

MAN WANTED FOR TOUCHING TEN YEAR OLD GIRL INSIDE SOUTH JERSEY WALMART

Police in Washington Township are looking for a man who allegedly touched a ten year girl on two occasions inside a Walmart store on Thursday.  Police say the man touched the girl twice inappropriately while the girl was with her mother.  The woman confronted the man, who fled the store in his own vehicle.

34 YEAR OLD MILLVILLE MAN INDICTED ON MURDER CHARGES

34 year old Terrell Savage has been indicted on murder charges for firing shots inside a motor vehicle that killed a 19 year old man.  The shooting claimed the life of Maurice Lewis in May, 2018.  Savage is also charged with two counts of attempted murder and other offenses.
