Two people from Philadelphia were arrested and charged by Wildwood Crest Police after their vehicle failed to slow down and struck a wooden barrier. Police say the driver of the vehicle was charged with driving while intoxicated; the driver also had drugs and a weapon in his possession.
Ventnor won the annual Bud Tarbotton North Wildwood Beach Patrol Around the Island Row Tuesday morning. Ventnor knocked off defending champs Wildwood Crest, who placed second. Upper Township placed third.
Arts and history groups can now apply for some funding from the County of Cape May. This county has received a grant totaling nearly $78,000 that can be applied to local arts and history organizations who need funding. The funding cycle will run through fiscal year 2023.
Former Philadelphia Phillies manager Charlie Manuel is back with the team, this time as the hitting coach. Manuel comes back to the team that he led to a World Series championship 11 years ago. Manuel is 75 years old.
A 16 year old boy has been charged with murder and other offenses, charged in connection with a shooting in Atlantic City back in June. Prosecutors say the boy is the second to be charged in connection with the killing. Another 15 year old suspect has already been charged.
