CAPE MAY COUNTY GASOLINE PRICES HIGHER THAN STATE AVERAGE

Gasoline prices in Cape May County remain about a nickel higher than the statewide avenue.  Mid Atlantic AAA reports that local motorists are being charged $2.84 per gallon, which is ten cents higher than the national average.  Gradual increases in gasoline prices are starting to come down.

COASTAL BROADCASTING SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES HS FOOTBALL BROADCAST SCHEDULE

COME THURSDAY, RIGHT TO DIE LAW TAKES EFFECT IN NEW JERSEY

Come Thursday, terminally ill New Jersey residents will be able to request a medication that will end their lives.  The Medical Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill law will take effect on August 1st.  Supporters say it helps terminally ill people with making a decision when their suffering may end.

CAR HITS TREE IN GALLOWAY, TWO SERIOUSLY INJURED

Two people were trapped inside a vehicle after a car hit a tree in Galloway Township Saturday evening.  Authorities say one person was trapped in the car for an hour and a half.  The crash occurred on South Seaview Avenue.

DENNIS TOWNSHIP WIL NOT WELCOME MEDICAL MARIJUANA FACILITY

The Dennis Township Committee has voted to reject a proposal to have a medical marijuana facility within its borders.  The Committee said the proposal by an LLC did not have a business plan and was only conceptual in nature.

COURT RULES WILDWOOD KIDS CAN BE TAUGHT IN NORTH WILDWOOD BUILDING

An appellate court has upheld a lower court ruling that says Wildwood elementary school children can be taught in a building in North Wildwood without permission from North Wildwood itself.  Earlier this month the court upheld a decision regarding the Wildwood School District operating a preschool out of St. Simeon Episcopalian Church, since 2002.

TEEN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH VINELAND SHOOTING

19 year old Joseph W. Lucas has been charged in connection with a shooting in Vineland late last week.  Police say Lucas shot and nearly killed another 19 year old man during an incident at the Asselta Acres complex on Axtell Avenue.  No motive for the shooting was released.
