An inconvenience for Cape May residents and businesses late Wednesday afternoon as a power outage impacted the community. The power went out in a good portion of the community after 5:00pm Wednesday, and it remained off for a little over an hour. There was an issue at a substation that caused the outage.

A 40 year old Galloway Township man was convicted on murder charges Wednesday stemming from a shooting that occurred nearly four years ago. A jury convicted Dennis Munoz in connection with the shooting death of 31 year old Michael Black in Mays Landing. Another suspect was acquitted during the trial.
