A man lost his life during a skydiving accident in Williamstown late Sunday afternoon. Police say the man was a veteran of skydiving with more than 1,000 jumps during his lifetime. There was an accident following the deployment of his parachute.
Three people were seriously injured Sunday morning when a Jaguar drove underneath of a tractor trailer on the Atlantic City Expressway. The crash occurred in Hammonton just after sunup. Police say the car drove into the right shoulder and under the truck.
A dozen people were rounded up late last week in Atlantic City as authorities focused on some illegal drug sales on Atlantic Avenue. Police say they recovered 160 bags of heroin, an ounce of cocaine, and $1,000 in cash. Most of the suspects are from the city.
A car wound up wedged under a tractor trailer Sunday morning on the Atlantic City Expressway. Police say the accident occurred around 7:00am near milepost 28 and there are big delays on the westbound Expressway and the individuals in the vehicle are removed.
Cape May County drivers are paying approximately $2.69 for a gallon of gas. That’s up by 20 cents over one month ago, and two pennies higher than last year. New Jersey is still behind the national average, at $2.74 per gallon.
Eight people have been charged in Atlantic County following a two month investigation into drugs and weapons. Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner announced that search warrants were executed in Egg Harbor City and Mullica Township. Authorities recovered 2,000 wax folds of heroin, six ounces of cocaine, and handguns.
