SEA ISLE CITY APPROVES BUDGET WITH TAX DECREASE

Sea Isle City has approved a new budget with a half cent decrease in the local tax rate.  Mayor Len Desiderio says budget projections allow his to guarantee another zero tax increase for 2020.

WILDWOOD FIREMEN SAVE 80 YEAR OLD WHO SUFFERED CARDIAC ARREST

Two Wildwood firefighters save the life of an 80 year old patient who went into cardiac arrest at a convenience store Thursday.  Firefighters Gerry Vessels and Sean Stanton were at the store and immediately administered CPR.  The patient was taken to the Atlantic City Medical Center.

VENTNOR WOMAN RETURNS IN COURT IN MAY FOR DOUBLE MURDER

A Ventnor woman will appear in court again in early May to face charges that she killed her mother and grandmother over money.  42 year old Heather Barbera was in court on Thursday for a brief appearance.  Her attorneys asked for more time to go over evidence related to the trial.

19 YEARS IN PRISON FOR MAN WHO STRANGLED WOMAN IN OCEAN CITY

50 year old Paul Kline of Ocean City will be spending the next 19 years of his life in prison for strangling his girlfriend in Ocean City two years ago.  Kline was in court Thursday and received the sentence for killing 54 year old Denise Tarves Webber.

BODY DISCOVERED AT WAWA LOCATION IN SOUTH JERSEY

A body was found at a Wawa convenience store located in Pennsauken Township.  Police say the body was discovered at the store located on Route 38 in the community.  Police have not released the person’s identity, or the cause of death.

WINNER, WINNER CHICKEN DINNER: ONE WINNER IN $768 MILLION POWERBALL

$768 million, one winning Powerball ticket, and it was sold in Wisconsin.  Lottery officials confirmed just one ticket matched all six Powerball numbers in last night’s huge jackpot.  One ticket worth $1 million was sold in New Jersey; eight other tickets will collect $50,000 for New Jersey winners.
