The Casino Control Commission will consider a request by the current owners of the Showboat Casino to secure a gaming license in Atlantic City. The Commission will consider the application made by Bart Blatstein. The Commission will likely base its vote on advice from the Division of Gaming Enforcement.
Parking rates may be adjusted in Cape May. City Council has an ordinance before it on Tuesday that would adjust the rates to park in the city. The introduction of the municipal budget, which includes a tax increase, will also be before Council.
Lower Township’s council is expected to adopt a new municipal budget Monday night. The Township will also consider a new ordinance that would provide preferential consideration for employees who actually live in the Township. Monday’s meeting begins at 7:00pm.
Middle Township is expected to introduce its budget Monday evening. The budget will be introduced by title only during the Township Committee meeting. The Committee will also go into closed session to discuss water service options, and other matters.
There were no winners in the Powerball jackpot Saturday night. That means the top prize for Wednesday night’s drawing will be $550 million, one of the largest jackpots in history. The winning numbers selected Saturday night were 30, 34, 39, 53, 67 and the Powerball, 11.
