ATLANTIC COUNTY PROSECUTOR TARGET OF WHISTLEBLOWER SUIT

A whistleblower lawsuit has been filed against Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner.  Tyner is accused of gender discrimination and retaliation in the suit by two former employees and one current employee of his office.  A news conference was held Thursday to discuss the allegations. Tyner says the alleged victims are living in an “alternative universe”.

AFTER LESS THAN A YEAR, NEW OWNERS FOR OCEAN RESORT CASINO

The Ocean Resort Casino is changing hands after being in business for less than a year.  The former Revel property in Atlantic City is being acquired by a company that plans major investments.  The casino is being sold by Bruce Deifik.  The casino will remain open during the transition.

NORTH WILDWOOD TO AUTHORIZE EMERGENCY REPAIRS, MAKE APPOINTMENTS NEXT WEEK

North Wildwood is expected to authorize emergency sewer repairs during its meeting next Tuesday morning.  The repairs will be done on both Central and New Jersey avenues.  Council will also make appointments to Council committees, and to volunteer fire departments.

PAVING WORK ON DIAS CREEK ROAD CONTINUES THURSDAY

Some paving work along Dias Creek Road in Middle Township is expected to continue through the daytime hours today.  Township officials say traffic will be detoured onto Hand Avenue during a portion of the day today for the road project.

SNOWFALL TOTALS VARY, BUT LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND

New Jersey Congressman Jeff Van Drew has penned a letter to congressional leadership that would fund Coast Guard operations through the government shutdown.  Van Drew is urging quick consideration of a new act he has introduced in Washington that would fund local Coast Guard and FAA operations in Cape May and Atlantic counties.
