Middle Township has alerted the community about a repaving project along Dias Creek Road on Monday morning. Traffic will be detoured during the day during the construction process. Traffic will be detoured to Hand Avenue; residents will still have access to their homes.
A man was shot and killed inside the Sunset Inn Motel in Atlantic City Friday night. WPVI-TV reports that the wounded man was found inside the motel shortly before 9pm Friday. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead later in the night at a city hospital.
36 year old Lashawn Smith of Egg Harbor Township has confessed to killing his girlfriend with a hammer while she slept. Sarah Phillips was killed by four hammer blows to the head at home on South Zion Road in November, 2017. Smith will have to serve 40 years behind bars.
Ocean City will be holding a public meeting next weekend to discuss affordable housing plans and obligations. The state courts are now in charge of making sure affordable housing opportunities are met. The meeting will be held January 12th at the Ocean City Tabernacle on Wesley Avenue.
An unidentified woman died in Friday morning’s house fire in the Villas, Lower Township. Police say the fire started in a home in the 200 block of East Florida Avenue. Upon arrival, a man inside the home was outside but his wife was inside the upper floor of the house. The woman likely died of…
