Governor Phil Murphy is telling New Jersey residents to be prepared for some foul weather courtesy of Hurricane Florence. Florence is still a Carolina landfall storm event, but wind and rain are possible for our region during the start of the weekend. Murphy says Cape May, Cumberland, and Salem Counties could feel the worst impact.

The 30-year old roller coaster on Morey’s Pier will be the subject of a final farewell party on Sunday, September 23rd according to the Pier’s social media page. Woodbine has received a $44,800 federal grant to be put towards the purchase of a new fire pumper truck for its volunteer fire department. Officials say the the funding will supplement a much larger grant the Borough received last year for the fire truck purchase.
