WILDWOOD POLICE HOLD GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR YOUTH CAMP

Graduation ceremonies were held Friday for kids who participated in the Wildwood Police Department Youth Camp.  Police Chief Robert Regalbuto and Mayor Ernie Troiano presented certificates to the children, along with challenge coins.  This was the first camp held by the Department. JITNEY SERVICE NOW UP AND RUNNING IN NORTH WILDWOOD

Summertime Jitney service is now up and running in North Wildwood.  The North Wildwood Police Department announced that the jitneys are now running from North Wildwood to 96th Street in Stone Harbor.  They will operate on Friday and Saturday from 6:00pm until 2:00am, with a three dollar fare. PAGLIUGHI RE-UPPED AS CAPE MAY COUNTY OEM DIRECTOR

Marty Pagliughi will continue to serve Cape May County as its Director of Emergency Management.  Pagliughi received a three year extension from the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders, which will extend his term through 2021.  Pagliughi is also the longtime Mayor of the Borough of Avalon.

WOMAN CHARGED WITH KILLING RELATIVES IN VENTNOR HELD FOR HEARING

The 41 year old Ventnor woman accused of killing her mother and grandmother in a robbery has been held for a detention hearing.  A judge ordered that Heather Barbera be held for the hearing.  She is accused of using a nightstick to beat her mother and grandmother to death in a condo during an argument…

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP MAN BUSTED FOR CREATING BOMB

Egg Harbor Township Police arrested a 42 year old man for being in possession of a homemade bomb inside his residence.  Robert Vaino was charged with possession of a destructive device, and other offenses.  Police say the bomb was safely removed from his property.

RAIN CANCELLED SURGERIES FRIDAY AT INSPIRA MEDICAL CENTER IN VINELAND

This is a new one…heavy rain postponed surgeries at the Inspira Medical Center in Vineland on Friday.  The Daily Journal reports that 21 elective surgeries were postponed due to flooding concerns from a drenching rainstorm.  Emergency surgeries were still performed.

PLEASANTVILLE MAN ID’ED AS PERSON KILLED BY TRAIN IN ATLANTIC COUNTY

Authorities have identified the 58 year old man who was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train near Pleasantville on Wednesday morning.  Darryl Watts of Pleasantville was struck by an eastbound train shortly after 7:00am.  Service was temporarily suspended for three hours.

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP MAY ASK VOTERS TO LOOK AT SIZE OF TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE
