POT CASES NOW STONED BY NEW JERSEY ATTORNEY GENERAL

Any marijuana-related cases in the Garden State have been adjourned until early September, or later.  New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal announced that all municipal prosecutors should not prosecute any marijuana related offense until then.  New Jersey is moving towards the eventual legalization of pot.

DEMI LOVATO REPORTEDLY OVERDOSES, WON’T PLAY ATLANTIC CITY

WILDWOOD FIRE CREWS RESPOND TO HOUSE FIRE NEAR PARK BOULEVARD

An investigation is underway into the cause of a house fire in Wildwood Monday evening.  Firefighters were called to the scene of a fire in the 4500 block of Park Boulevard, which was brought under control in 20 minutes.  Two occupants of the home made it out safely.  Other local fire departments also responded.

LOWER TWP. POLICE ANNOUNCE BREAKWATER ROAD CLOSURE

Lower Township Police have announced a detour along Breakwater Road that is scheduled for next Tuesday.  Police say the road will be closed between Fishing Creek and Bayshore Roads from daylight to dusk; local traffic will be allowed on the road only.  There is no reason cited for the closure.

WHITESBORO WOMAN AMONG TWO DOZEN CHARGED IN TAX FRAUD SCHEME

A 54 year old woman from Whitesboro is among two dozen New Jersey residents charged in connection with a tax fraud scheme in which people filed fraudulent tax returns in the State of Hawaii.  The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office announced that Karen Bristol-Thomas and 23 others have been implicated.  The investigation was dubbed “Operation…

WILDWOOD CREST TO HOLD ANNUAL BEACH RUN WEEK FROM SATURDAY

Wildwood Crest officials are making preparations for the annual 5K Beach Race to be held next Saturday, August 4th.  The race begins and ends at the Crest Pier, and begins at 8:30am.  There will be a team competition between the three beach patrol units in the Wildwoods.
