Governor Phil Murphy alerted state agencies before the weekend that they should prepare for a potential government shutdown on July 1st unless a budget agreement is reached. The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men’s and women’s basketball championships are coming to Atlantic City. The competition will be held at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall starting in 2020. This will be the first time in Hall history that it will be hosting the MAAC championship games.
Wildwood’s Byrne Plaza will be hosting the first concert of the season Friday night. The “Reign Band” will be performing a free concert Friday starting at 7pm. On Saturday, the ribbon cutting event at the Plaza will occur during the weekly farmer’s market event.
