A teacher and a student were killed, and 43 others injured in a horrible accident involving a school bus and a truck in Mount Olive Thursday morning. New Jersey State Police say the dozens of victims were transported to various hospitals in northern New Jersey; some are listed in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.

Fire companies responded late Thursday afternoon to a reported gas leak fire at 24th Street and the Boardwalk in North Wildwood. According to fire departments’ social media pages the leak resulted in a fire; no injuries are reported. No word yet on property damage.

A 26 year old Middle Township resident has pleaded guilty in connection with the drug induced death of 23 year old Sonny Sinnerard. Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland announced that Daniel Osmundsen pleaded guilty to the first degree charge on Thursday. Sentencing for Osmundsen will be held on September 14th.
