The Ocean City girls basketball team will play Ewing Township Thursday evening for the chance to play in the Group III championship game. Ocean City beat Ewing by a point last year in a state semifinal game. The game will be broadcast live by Tom Williams Thursday at 7pm on Shore 106.3FM.
A South Jersey school teacher was struck by lightning during a thunder snow event on Wednesday. Manchester Township Police say the woman was struck by lightning while on bus duty outside of a middle school. She was not seriously injured.
Vineland Police have charged two teenagers connected to a shooting on January 27th. Police announced that a teenager from Mullica Hill was handling a shotgun recklessly and it went off, hitting an 18 year old man in the elbow. Another teen was charged with giving false information to police.
The Philadelphia Eagles have bolstered their defensive line by acquiring defensive end Michael Bennett from the Seattle Seahawks. The trade sends a fifth round draft pick and wide receiver Marcus Johnson to Seattle in return for Bennett and a seventh round pick.
New Jersey Transit has had enough of the winter storm and will be suspending all bus service throughout the Garden State Wednesday at 4:30pm. NJT says travel conditions in much of the state are too dangerous, and they’ll resume bus service Thursday morning.
North Wildwood has named Dolly McGee the grand marshal of this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade in the city. McGee is known for singing the National Anthem at many special events through the community. The parade will step off at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 17th.

Atlantic Cape Community College announced Wednesday that it will be closing all of its campuses at 2:00pm Wednesday. Some snow is expected to wrap around at the end of today’s coastal storm and could make commuting slippery in some locations. No heavy accumulating snow is expected at the shore.
