A 67 year old man was killed during a head on crash in Hammonton Sunday morning. Police say the accident occurred on Route 206 in the city. Joseph Bellace, Sr. was killed when his car was struck head on by a car driven by a 25 year old driver. The crash remains under investigation.
The Middle Township Committee meets Wednesday evening and is expected to consider a condemnation redevelopment area in the Township. A resolution appears on the Committee’s agenda that would authorize the Township’s planning board to create the district. The meeting is being held Wednesday due to Monday’s holiday.

A 74 year old pastor from Medford has confessed to sexually assaulting four children over a 16 year period. Harry Thomas admitted in court Friday that the assaults continued until 2015, and he had an inappropriate action with a fifth child. Thomas now faces up to 20 years behind bars.

A 64 year old Millville man has been convicted on charges that he beat a woman outside of a city liquor store with a lawn chair. Clarence “Mad Dog” Jenkins was convicted last week on a charge of second degree assault. Jenkins could face up to a decade behind bars when he’s sentenced in April.
