The Atlantic County Utilities Authority will conduct recycling collection service to Dennis Township starting in 2018. The Township issued a press release saying it will handle the recycling collection that was previously conducted by the Dennis Township Department of Public Works. The same recycling collection schedule currently in place will remain for residents.

Outgoing Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian has a new job. Guardian will assume the role of Business Administrator for Toms River in 2018. Guardian will replace the current Business Administrator who retires in two weeks. A resolution to appoint Guardian was approved this week by Toms River’s council.
Dennis Township will hold its reorganization meeting on Tuesday evening, January 2nd. The Committee will welcome two new republican members, Thomas VanArtsdalen III and Scott J. Turner. Republicans will be firmly in control of the Township Committee in what has previously been considered to be a democratic community.
Wildwood’s city commission meets Wednesday morning with largely routine business on its agenda. The Commission is expected to approve a new ordinance that would establish a new one way traffic pattern on New York Avenue from 26th Street to Maple Avenue. The meeting gets underway at 9:00am.
North Wildwood’s city council will hold its reorganization meeting on January 2nd at 5:00pm. Mayor Patrick Rosenello will be sworn in for another term in office; he ran unopposed in the November election. Councilmembers Kellyann Tolomeo, David Del Conte, and Ed Koehler will also be sworn in to office.
