MAN WHO WON POWERBALL CHARGED WITH CHILD SEX ASSAULT

49 year old Pedro Quezada of Wayne, New Jersey recently won a $338 million Powerball jackpot; now Quezada is charged with sexually assaulting a child over a three year period. Prosecutors allege Quezada assaulted the girl, who was age 11 when the alleged assaults began.

MOREY’S PIERS BEGIN OKTOBERFEST THIS FRIDAY WITH KEG-TAPPING

Morey’s Piers will kick off its official Oktoberfest celebration this Friday evening with a keg tapping event on Mariner’s Pier. Morey’s will tap a keg of Warsteiner beer, and employees will be dressed in lederhosen. It’s all part of a three weekend event to help close out the season at the famous boardwalk attraction.

TRACTOR TRAILER FOLLOWS GPS, WINDS UP ON VENTNOR BOARDWALK

Don’t always trust your GPS for accurate directions. The driver of a tractor trailer did just that Wednesday morning in Ventnor and wound up driving up onto the Ventnor boardwalk with no way to get off. The truck damaged about 100 feet worth of railings on the boardwalk during the wrong turn.

COASTAL FLOOD WARNING CHANGED TO FLOOD ADVISORY

253RD TRANSPORTATION COMPANY RETURNS FROM FLORIDA

The 253rd Transportation Company of the New Jersey National Guard has returned home, safe and sound. The unit was deployed to Florida by Governor Christie to help with relief efforts in the Sunshine State for Hurricane Irma. Many supplies were handed out to hurricane victims.

WHITE SUPREMACIST FLYERS HUNG AT STOCKTON UNIVERSITY

Stockton University police are searching for three people who were caught on camera putting up white nationalist flyers inside campus buildings over the weekend. The flyers were not authorized by the university and were removed on Monday. Images of the suspects have been caught on camera.
