Wildwood Crest is making final preparations for its annual Seafarer’s celebration that’s coming on September 23rd. This year’s festival will include live music from local banks including Stellar Mojo, the Star Band, and the Legacy Band. Weather permitting, fireworks will be held on the beach at 9pm.

James Kauffman will be arraigned in a few weeks on charges that he produced a handgun as authorities raided his medical office in Atlantic County. Kauffman has been held in jail since he was taken into custody back in June.

A 48 year old man from Mays Landing lost his life in a motorcycle accident along Route 50 in Upper Township on Friday night. Police say Stephen Starke’s bike ran off a road and struck a sign, and a tree during the accident.

There’s been another delay in the trial involving Chris Lentz, the former athletic director of Ocean City High School who has been charged with official misconduct and computer criminal mischief. Lentz will now go on trial for the crime starting September 25th. She resigned from her post more than two years ago.
