An Atlantic County school teacher pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to charges that she assaulted a student in her class by kicking a chair from under the boy. Linwood middle school teacher Kimberley Peschi of Galloway Township is accused of the assault against the 12 year old boy in February. ##
Murder suspect Jules Black will remain behind bars in Cumberland County for allegedly killing another man on April 9th. The 30 year old Vineland resident is accused in the murder of 26 year old Christian Rodgers who was attacked on East Chestnut Avenue in Vineland. ##
Clean Ocean Action has organized beach sweeps on local beaches that will be held on Saturday. Last year, over 218,000 items were collected off of Jersey Shore beaches, and over 81 percent of those items were plastics. ##

A happy ending for five seals who were rescued by the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine. The seals were released back into the Atlantic Ocean in Sandy Hook to make room for more seals that were recently rescued by the Center. ##

The New Jersey Republican State Committee paid nearly $12,000 for Governor Christie to stay at a five star hotel in Washington, DC for the inauguration of President Trump. That wasn’t the end of it..the committee also spent over $1,200 for Christie to stay at the Trump Soho Hotel back in January. ##
A body has been found in Hawaii and is reportedly that of a Marine from Egg Harbor Township. A television station in Hawaii reports that the body of 21 year old Tyler Weschler has been found. His family recently flew to Hawaii to search for Weschler after he came up missing. ##
A portion of Route 40 in Hamilton Township has been closed due to a fallen utility pole and wires that are crossing the roadway this morning. Crews say the pole came down at mile post 39. Utility companies were contacted this morning, but no word yet on when the highway will reopen.
