North Wildwood Police will be cracking down on distracted drivers during the month of April. City police announced that it will participate in a crackdown on drivers who talk on cell phones or who are texting while they are driving. In 2014, over 3,000 drivers lost their lives nationwide in distracted driving accidents. ##
The Joseph Von Savage Memorial Pool in Wildwood Crest will be closed for three days for routine maintenance. Crest officials announced that the pool will close from April 5th through the 7th; it is expected to re-open on Saturday, April 8th. ##
One person was killed in a single vehicle motor vehicle accident early Thursday morning on Indian Trail Road in Middle Township. Police say a 2009 Nissan drove off the roadway, struck a tree, and burst into flames. The driver was the only occupant; no identity has been released. ##

The annual Ocean Drive Marathon will be held Sunday morning, but this time, there’s a new route. Instead of running from Cape May to Sea Isle City, runners will start and finish in Sea Isle and run twice through the communities of Avalon and Stone Harbor. The annual event raises money for various charities. ##

Two people were found dead last night inside an apartment complex in Maple Shade, Burlington County. Authorities say the two bodies were found inside a unit at the Fox Meadow Apartments. Police taped off the complex but no ambulances took anyone to area hospitals. The investigation continues.
