Fire has damaged a two story home on Hilltop Drive in Upper Township. The Upper Township Gazette reports that the fire call came in shortly before 8:00am Thursday and the fire was brought under control in about two hours. There were no injuries. ##

AVALON COUNCIL APPROVES BUDGET WITH NO TAX INCREASE
The Avalon Borough Council met Wednesday night and approved a new municipal budget with no tax increase. Councilmembers Dr. Nancy Hudanich and Chuck Covington presented the budget to the public and discussed Avalon’s AAA bond rating, which is the highest in the county.
